Mattea Joy is a must-see, award-winning, rising folk rock singer/songwriter based in Milwaukee. Born and raised in Central Wisconsin, Mattea has been making a name for herself as one of Wisconsin’s finest since age 13, going from an avid open mic performer to a fully booked musician by 18. She’s a connoisseur of many instruments, but is best known for her dazzling acoustic guitar skills and captivating harmonica playing.

Her unique, flexible range allows her to sing a multitude of genres, ambitiously playing diverse artists, from Johnny Cash to The Cranberries within the same sets. "Mattea Joy & The Canadian Tuxedos" is the name of Mattea's three-piece original project, consisting of Mattea Joy as the front woman, Nolan O'Keefe on bass, and Payton Seymour on drums. The songs Mattea writes with an acoustic guitar in her bedroom are elevated with bass and drums, and performed around Milwaukee alongside other fantastic, well-known projects in the area. They are best known for their well-structured sets, great banter, and classic denim-on-denim look.
